AFX/Racemasters 1970 Chevelle 454 Red HO Slot Racing Cars

America’s “King of the Streets” has made its arrival. Upon a close inspection, three anomalies can be observed. The first anomaly is a paint scuff that has been verified by several documented photos of the car during the race. The second anomaly is the discolored and oddly shaped roundel. Information about the roundels was provided by a friend of the team at the time. These roundels were made from a special 3M material that was significantly more reflective, allowing for higher visibility during pit stops. However, the material was so rigid that they had to attach it with pop-rivets (the silver dots around the roundels). The last anomaly is the silver mark across the door handle, a story that came straight from Carrol Shelby himself. During the race at speeds well over 100mph, the door handle on the left side of the car was lifting. In an effort to keep the car door in place, the team duct taped the handle, which was a successful solution.

Features of the FN20 Advanced Power Unit include being lighter, smoother, quieter, more consistent, and using 33% less energy than the Mega-G. It is also up to 35% lighter than any other HO chassis and 5% lighter than the Mega-G, making it the narrowest and lowest chassis ever made for more realistic bodies. Additionally, it features a super durable Nylatron material with just enough flex, and high carbon power unit brushes that last longer than composite brushes. The new Redundant Power Transfer System maintains consistent power supply to the motor for improved durability and drivability.

The Mega G+ Chassis not only goes faster and handles better than the competition, but it is also lighter, smoother, and quieter. It has the narrowest and lowest chassis ever made, with stronger pick-up shoes that follow the rail better and the lowest center of gravity compared to all competitors. The Level 30 Neodymium Ground Effect Magnets are also included in the chassis.
